When my husband and I had our first 2 children we did not live the way we do now, we used coupons but not to the extent we do now and we didn’t stockpile so when we ran out of diapers or wipes it was time to head to the store to get some. This time around we have used coupons and stockpiled diapers and wipes when a great deal was found and not only do we have all the diapers we will need from size newborn to size 2, all of ize 4s and are working on finishing our size 3 stockpile and all the wipes, we have spent a fraction of what we did with the other 2. I also did not sign up for any of the free samples or programs that companies offer and the coupons that they send out are great coupons that really help a budget when having a baby. Another thing we did differently is instead of just telling people what we needed when they asked is we made a registry, we did one at Target and one at Babies’ R Us both of these places send out great coupons just for having a registry with them.
If you are having a baby or have even just had a baby there are many companies that have special programs you can sign up for to receive coupons in the mail and sometimes samples. Through out being pregnant this time I have been on the look out for companies that do. Here is the list that I have come up with of companies that mail out coupons and samples for expecting parents.
Good Start(this is also gerber foods as well)
Playtex
Pampers gifts to grow Whenever you buy pampers diapers they have points on them, enter your points and save up for some great stuff! There are times that they have coupons for free packs of diapers or baby laundry soap that you can redeem your points for.
American Baby You can get this magazine subscription free, it has great tips for new moms:) My husband and I both enjoy reading this magazine even with this baby being number 3!
Parent’s choice-Free sample of formula
Babytalk Magazine-Free subscription
Hylands-Free baby calander
Beechnut-coupons and free solids guide
Juicy Juice-free sippy cup
Green Dot pacifier-Free fever detecting pacifier
Another way we saved a TON of money for this one is the clothing that we knew we were going to need we made sure to buy in advance if we could, combining sales with a coupon for places like The Children’s Place, Gymboree and Old Navy. Normally these places would be expensive to buy clothing for a child if you are on a tight budget, but if you look in the clearance sections and combine it with a coupon it makes for very cheap good quality clothing. Places like target are also good places for deals to be found on baby stuff because they have great clearance prices and things like bottles, binkies, blankets even car seats, high chairs and pack and plays can be found on clearance. We tend not to worry that every piece of baby item matches(actually none of our stuff is the same design) but doing it this way saves a ton of money and matching is not a necessity but you do want to have everything you need for your little one.
