Why do I need to carry the coupon policy for stores?
While this may seem a bit silly to some, cause you are thinking that the store knows their coupon policy why do I need it, you will be surprised how many times a store cashier does not know their policy. Them not knowing their policy can sometimes cause issues at check out when the cashier does not understand how to use a coupon. Which in turn stresses you out because you know your coupons are legit and what you are doing is legit and you are being questioned.
My main issues have come up with stores that allow overage, many cashiers do not know that their stores allow a person to get the overage and to them they think it is not allowed. Being able to pull out that coupon policy and say(nicely of course) here is your stores policy so yes what I am doing is allowed by your store will save you a lot of time and stress. You have the information that is needed and you can be more confident when you are at the check out and the cashier says they can not do something when it is in their policy.
Another time that I have had to pull out the coupon policy was with price matching at one store. The cashier did not know that their store price matched and with out the policy with me I would not have been able to show her their policy since the policy that she had at the register was dated from 2 years ago.
Where to get the Coupon Policy:
Many Stores have it avaliable on their websites, but if you can not print it from their call the company and ask them to e-mail or mail you a copy. Explain to them that you want to be knowledgable of their policies so that you know you are following the rules when you are using coupons at the store.
