I have three children, ages seven, four and one. The biggest issue I have run into in the last year since my third was born is that I don’t have enough hands. We’ll all be together trying to cross a street and I have the baby in my arms or I’m pushing the stroller and trying to herd my other two by circling around them like a dog herding sheep (you should see the looks I get when I’m picking my son up from school!). I’ve tried baby carriers in the past, but have never even remotely liked them. They’re typically difficult to use, heavy, or uncomfortable (or all of the above). The Boba Carrier has completely changed my view of baby carriers in general and has made my life SO much easier!
It has two positions that you can see here, in the front or the back. Getting it on is as easy as clipping the waist belt, slipping baby in and clipping the strap up by your neck. The fabric is light and soft (100% natural cotton; great for the heat down here in Texas, because I couldn’t handle anything too thick!). My son is secure and he likes being inside the carrier. And he’s certainly much lighter in the carrier then he is in my arms! This carrier comfortably transfers your baby’s weight to your waist where the band straps around your middle and that way my arms are completely free and not at all tired. It can hold from 15 to 45 pounds, and there’s two important features to mention that help this carrier transition from new baby to young child. The first is the hood that is attached to the back of the carrier. It allows you to cover your baby’s head and keep it close to you if they fall asleep and to also breastfeed privately behind the hood without having to remove baby from the carrier. This also comes with stirrups that attach to the bottom of the carrier, that allows bigger children to sit in a more natural position so they don’t have their legs dangling uncomfortably. My baby is right between these two features, so I haven’t gotten too much use from them yet, though I did get to use the hood once when he fell asleep and the elastic around the edges really does cup their head and keep it in position.
I was slightly nervous to try putting him on my back at first, he seems to like it much better. He can observe more and he can even sip from his cup while on my back which is nice for these hot summer days. But the most important thing is that I can hold two other hands while carrying my smallest so I no longer feel like a sheep herder!

My favorite thing about the Boba is that it is easy enough for dads and grandmas to use – unlike my Moby!

I love the full coverage and the hood. The sun here in az is a force to be reckoned with. Hoods and shades and things are always great.

I like that the Boba is a soft carrier that can be worn on the front or the back. Versatility is nice in a family of nine. =)
