We love going to yardsales! We used to go every saturday morning when we lived in New Jersey, I think we are going to start doing it again the kids had a blast driving around each Saturday morning. We found a lot of great deals at yardsales. One way we make it fun for the kids is give them each a few dollars to spend on what they want(normally $2-$3), and they know that that is all the money that they are able to spend while we are shopping for the morning. Whatever they do not use gets carried into the next week. Last year my daughter started saving all her yardsale shopping money because she wanted to find 1 big thing that she really wanted and until she did she refused to spend any of it. It is a great way to teach kids about money.
This is one of my favorite yardsale trips from last summer,
Every item in that picture is Gymboree and everything was 10.00 total (.47 a piece for each item!) Including the one long sleeved shirt that still had the tags on it! All of it looked new and like it was never worn!
