A few weeks ago I was sent the ASUS MeMo Pad FDH 10 LTE Tablet to play around with and check out and coming from my normal use of an Ipad I expected using an android tablet to be a bit challenging. I was surprised when it wasn’t. Setting up the wifi was easy and only took a few minutes and if you know me being able to set up Wifi easily is important. I need to be able to get online no matter where I am and get on quickly so I can get my blogging work done and never miss posting a hot deal 🙂 This will be great for when I am traveling and I do not bring my computer with me and I need to get online quickly, especially when I am in an airport and have a limited amount of time to get things done before getting on another flight. It will also come in handy when I take the kids on a day trip and I can snag a few minutes to get things posted while we are on the go and I stop and hook up to a rest stops wifi 🙂
Setting it up was super easy to, since I am on the go often I like to have all my work things in one spot and use Google Accounts for much of what I do, I loved that I could just log into my google account on it and I have all my browser stuff on my tablet just like I do on my computer. It is super easy to make sure I don’t forget passwords when it is all in the same account on all of my devices.
For most people who are looking for a tablet and are not using it for things like blogging but the “normal” online stuff like shopping, reading ebooks, hanging out on facebook and of course visiting MidgetMomma.com this tablet is perfect. The screen is an awesome size, it is not to big where it feels bulky in your hands and its also not to small that you are squinting to see what the screen says, even for those of us with bad eye sight who wear glasses the font size is perfect. For all your social needs they have Buddy Buzz which makes using your social media account easy!
The on thing that I do not like about my Ipad is that there really is no where for me to put an SD card right into it, I can get the attachment and use the cord but that really becomes a pain in the butt. I have a tendency to lose things including cords so I was excited that with the ASUS MeMo Pad FDH 10 LTE Tablet I can put in a micro SD card, so I can take my camera card (which is the micro card with the converter so I can put it in the camera) from the camera, then take the micro SD card and pop it right in and use the photos from my camera card right on to where ever i want to put them, be it facebook, twitter or even a blog post!
There are 2 different color options for the tablet, Midnight blue and crystal white, I went with midnight Blue to rock my PennState Football colors 🙂 Along with the colors I love the weight of it, it weighs only 580g, super light and I can stick it right in my person with out feeling like I am lugging around bricks in my purse.
The camera was the first thing my kids found when testing it out with me, and with in just a few minutes they were snapping away at taking pictures, if they can find it that fast you know that it is super easy for anyone to do. The pictures are crisp and even with the kids not being able to sit completely sill while taking the photos none of them were blurry!!
When using apps the ASUS MeMo Pad FDH 10 LTE Tablet they have what they call floating apps, which i totally love. It makes it so apps do not overwhelm your screen, and you can have multiple apps going at the same time!!
The other major plus for me was that I can get about 9-10 hours of use before having to recharge it. Depending on what I was using it for depended on how long the battery lasted me.
