So I am going be completely honest this week I have been delayed on posting for a few reason, getting my kids party ready for this weekend coming up, having a party last weekend and being hooked on Epic Mickey, I spent waaayyy to much time playing this game this week. I am not normally a gamer but once I find a game I enjoy I tend to get sucked in just a bit and Epic Mickey is one of them. The first night that I played it I took a look at the clock and realized that I had been playing for almost 2 hours, and everyone that knows me knows that me playing a game that long in one stretch with out getting bored playing and sitting means I really have to be hooked. It reminds me of Kingdom Hearts(another game that sucked me in). I know it is geared towards kids but I am secretly enjoying that I do not have to share this game with my kids because they are still a bit to young to handle playing the game because their skill level is not there yet, but kids who are gamers would be able to easily play and enjoy it.
I did have a few challanges playing the game, like getting used to the camera view and falling off of things(not that I would not have that problem with other games because I would). I do not play games very often so getting used to the controller and how to use things still takes me a little bit but I was quickly able to figure it out and get my fingers going and able to use the paint and thinner with ease as I was walking through the game. One thing I really like is that “dying” is easily avoidable as long as you make sure you hit all the trinket containers(buckets, canisters ect) and collect lives when you need them which is great for kids. I know when I was starting to play video games(which was only a few years ago as I did not play them as a kid other then Gameboy) I got discouraged whenever I would have to start over and there was no way for me to help myself out.
So far I have really enjoyed playing Epic Mickey and I can not wait until this busy week slows down a bit so I can keep on going in the game. 🙂
