With the ridiculous heat wave sweeping the country right now, I’m sure my kids are not the only ones that aren’t thrilled about going outside! Down here in Texas, we’re looking at well over 100 almost everyday with rain nowhere in sight. So we’re trying to find more fun things to do indoors in the A/C! As a family, we like to put puzzles together. Everyone gets involved, and my kids, even though they sometimes get frustrated, stick with it because they know they get to hang it on their wall when we’re done! It’s cheap and fun decoration! This is how you do it: Just put the puzzle together and when it’s done, take some foam board and cut it a couple inches larger than the puzzle to leave yourself a border. Brush glue on the backside of the puzzle and on the foam board and press the puzzle onto the foam board. Put some books on top of it while it dries. Once it’s completely dry, use some fun colored duct tape to make a frame (duct tape comes in dozens of colors these days!) around the foam board so you don’t have rough edges. Then just put it up on the wall, and your kids have a constant reminder of the fun time they had building it!
