When you think of Fright Night you automatically think of the scary night time activities but during the day it is totally family friendly and there are special Halloween treats for the kiddos! Of course when we all hear Fright Night we think of the night time activities for the adults and tend to not think about the fun that 6 Flags has for the kiddos. Last weekend hubby, me, the kids and my parents all went to Six Flags Great Adventure in New Jersey to check out the Halloween fun that they had going on! Sadly hubby and I did not get to go back for the adult fun because we had planned on leaving the park for a few hours and going back once it got dark and as we were leaving it was so packed that there was no where to park and it got crowded fast so we plan on going earlier in the Fright Fest Season next year to check that part out!
My mom and my girls.
My Dad and my son.
To get the kids in the Halloween spirit there are quite a few things that are a TON of fun and my kids loved! We went on a bunch of rides while we were there but the kids had the most fun on the Hayride, now there were some “scary” things but they were turned into fun things! As you drive through the path you meet Frankie (Frankenstein), A ghosts, Dracula, a Warewolf and a witch! While riding we also got to rock out to my kids favorite song “Call me Maybe” and get in the “New Jersey groove” by fist pumping!
The kids also got to go on a Trick or Treat Trail and get a treat bag, the kids enjoyed it however they said they wished the characters like the Tasmanian Devil gave out the candy to them.
We had an awesome day, my son, my dad and hubby all got to enjoy their favorite thing by riding on the roller coasters, the girls my mom and I all had fun on the “slower” rides and spending time all together really made the day amazing. It has been a long time since all 7 of us had gone out on a day trip like this.
