I never really gave it much thought when it came to a blow dryer and what I should be looking for in one to make sure that while I am blow drying my hair I am not doing any damage to it, in fact I had never even used a diffuser until I tried the Conair You Reel 1875 Watt Tourmaline Ceramic 2-in1 Styler. I guess I never really put any thought into it and what the purpose of one is. I always bought whatever one was cheap and the last one I had was one that was free at Walgreens after Register Rewards.
I noticed quite a difference with the Conair You Reel compared to my old one, it dried my hair faster and with the diffuser attached to it my hair was not completely limp (which is was with my old one even when I put mousse in my hair) and even had quite a bit of fullness and volume. This hair dryer has 3 different heat settings and 2 different speeds, none of which I thought were of major importance (my old one had high and low) until I used it on one of the really hot days a few weeks ago and being able to blow dry my hair while it was already hot and muggy in the house was fantastic. It also comes in handy with the girls, my oldest does not like it when I blow dry her hair with it hot and my youngest loves having the heat up when I dry her hair, so each one is happy.
One thing that did drive me crazy with my old hair dryer was that the cord never had anywhere to go other then being wrapped around it, and I hated that it would always come undone in the cabinet and made a mess of my cabinet. The Conair You Reel has a little button that you push and waalaa it sucks the cord into it and then you can fold the hair dryer and it is put away nice and neatly.
Hairbrushes are normally on my list of get whatever is cheap, when drying my hair I normally use a metal round bristle brush and I am sure those of you that also have thin hair know what I mean when I say “It always gets stuck”, it was difficult to use with my hair when it was wet. Using the Conair Impressions Cushion Brush I was able to brush my hair wet or dry with ease. When blow drying my hair with this brush my hair did not get stuck while I was drying it. My kids also enjoyed this brush, my 7 year old told me “It did not pull her hair when she had knots”. So I am happy to have added this brush to our hair care products.
