Kids birthday parties can cost a TON of money when you are buying gifts. When you have multiple kids who are have multiple friends having birthday parties the money spent can really add up. To save over $100 a year having a gift closet is one of our other savings suggestions.
Look for deals on toys and when you see them really cheap grab a few and store them. Then when you have a birthday party to go to just go to the gift closet and grab a gift!
If you have tweens and teens keep an eye out after Christmas for gift sets with makeup and perfumes to be on sale for really cheap Grab them and use them as gifts thru out the year. Last year I found “spa sets” that had loofas, lotion, nail polish and more for just $4! Normally they were $20! I grabbed them up and have them on hand for whenever my tween goes to a birthday party!
The 2 times a year clearance sales at Target, where you can get toys for 90% off are my favorite sales to stock the gift closet up at! I have found soo many deals and saved a TON of money over the years shopping that sale and having the gifts on hand. One of my Target Toy Clearance trips I spent $175 and saved $588!!
With having a gift closet, you will easily save at least $100 a year if not a lot more depending on how many birthday parties your kids go to each year!
