This afternoon the kiddos and I were tired of being in the house and so we packed up and head on over to Sahara Sams. We had not been there since the opening of the new outdoor portion of the water park and we were excited to check it out. I am actually mad at myself for leaving my phone in the locker and not being able to take pictures but rest asure I will be going back and making sure I grab some photos for you:)
The out door portion of the park is fantastic – I think the kiddos liked it even more then the inside (which says a lot because I hear all the time that they want to go to the indoor water park). The outside has a tot pool that has a slide, water pouring coconuts and sprinklers – even the older 2 had a blast just splashing around. Then we headed on over to the wave pool. This was the kids first time experiencing waves and they loved it. Which makes me even more excited to take them to the ocean and have them “jump waves” with me. We also checked out the new outdoor pool, which I think is awesome because it has 2 depths that are perfect for kids, 3 feet -3 1/2 feet and 5 feet! The older 2 are able to swim around in the 3 foot section while I helped Alyssa swim with her floaty on in the same area.
Sahara Sams is now open daily and during the week from 10am – 7pm. I suggest going after 3:30 pm to get the best experience as the crowds of summer camps leave around 3pm. You can save money by purchasing tickets online instead of buying them on location.
