Today was a Baby dr visit!!! I had to wait to publish until I had given the kids all the details (well kid appropriate ones lol) to hit publish 🙂
We are now at 13 weeks 6 days 🙂 I have been having morning sickness, which I never had with the other 3 and some days are good somedays not so much but today was a good one and I got dress dressed and did hair and make up 🙂
It was our second official appointment – and we got to hear the heartbeat! I was going to make a video of the heartbeat Lamb I shared with you guys the other day now that it has the heartbeat player in it, but Alyssa is currently sleeping with it 🙂 The older two have said they want their own, with the recording of the heartbeat so next appointment I will drive the midwife crazy again by recording them 😉 As soon as I can sneak the lamb to get a video of how the recorder works I will share it 🙂
Tom came with me, which the kids are mad at me for not bringing them as well, but they are also mad that I didn’t bring them with me when I got my bloodwork done yesterday LOL. I am loving that they all want to be so involved and next appointment I scheduled for after school so they can come too 🙂 I am loving that with this one the kids can be and want to be involved. It is sooo much different then when they were all to young to understand what was going on. We watch the weekly “what is baby doing now” videos together, they want to know the size of the baby, what the baby is doing and I am loving it. I really love that this baby is coming into a our family as a family baby, vs just Tom and I’s baby. It is totally different and I am loving it <3 <3 <3 Alyssa likes to stick her ear to my stomach and claims “she can hear the baby moving”, I think she is going to do well being a big sister 🙂 McKenzie and Logan have the awesome big sister and big brother roles down like pros 😉
We scheduled our anatomy ultrasound for the end of April, but they only allow you to have one person in the room with you for it so I am going to go to one of the ultrasound places and take the kids to do one with them so they can experience the ultrasound like they want to.
The kids also have been talking about wanting to do a gender reveal party, so I am going to make the other ultrasound appointment for about 2 weeks from now. Then have them write the gender on a card and take it to the bakery to have a gender reveal cake made for the kids to cut open 🙂 Eekkk! I can’t believe that we only have two weeks until we can find out if this little one is a princess or a prince! McKenzie wants a boy, Logan wants a girl and Alyssa said either one as long as it can sleep in her room, but I think they are secretly hoping for a girl so we can out number the boys some more 😉
I have been exhausted the last few weeks, which we found out is in part due to pregnancy and because I have a UTI, boo! But they gave me meds and I should be good they said in a few days. The UTI also explains the pain I assumed was cramping due to growing a baby, so having that cleared up and having my energy back will be nice! I have done well cutting out coffee – I was drinking 9 cups a day and I am at 1 now. For a coffee fanatic like myself I am really missing my coffee and I might have to jump to the “light side” and go with decaf just to get my coffee loving fix 😉
When they weighed me today I had a 5 pound weight loss, which they are not concerned about because it seems to be a LOT of bloating from my IBS and the uti that was causing the swelling so losing weight right now they are ok with. I am really hoping that once the UTI is cleared up the bloating goes back down 🙂
For anyone who is pregnant and hears the words UTI, don’t freak out, I was told it is a common thing and pushing lots of water and the antibiotic will clear it up 🙂
How are all my other pregnant mommas doing?

The pregnancy UTI’s are miserable! As if the morning sickness and fatigue don’t have you feeling crummy enough, just throw that in for a complete “delete”! I hope the uti is cleared up soon and that the antibiotics don’t make you sick.
I think I am finally getting past the sickness, for the most part. I randomly get on “edge” still, mostly based on certain foods or smells.
I have been having back pain and what I am thinking is round ligament pain. These seem to be worse on days when I am up on my feet all day, without allowing myself small breaks here and there.
Now that we know the gender, the boys are getting more excited about having a third boy. Today one made a comment about how “we don’t have to buy any of those leggings and bows for boys, so that’s good!”
I can’t wait for you to find out the gender, I’m so happy for your family. I’m glad we are pregnant at the same time!

It was supposed to say complete delite, not delete. Stupid auto correct!
