Baby Registry Must Haves: Sleeping
With Baby D’s arrival getting closer and closer I figured it was a great time to come up with a series of baby registry must haves. This is a list of baby items that I found very useful with my first baby and that I will be using for Baby D. When it comes to getting a baby to sleep having this items can really save you time and frustration.
1.) My Little Snugapuppy Cradle Baby Swing – For my daughter this swing was a must! There was so many times she would just want to be held but I had to much stuff to do, well this is were that swing came in hand. The shape of the seat was just like she was being snuggled and it was moving non stop. It has different songs and a mobile to keep there attention. The best thing about this swing is the fact it is able to be plugged in! I know friends who have spent so much money on those big battery’s for other swings.
2.)Munchkin Nursery Projector and Sound System– My daughter was a really bad sleeper until we were taught the happiest baby on the block method. The white noise is a key factor to the method and it helps so much! The sound system has different white noise options as well as other lulibies. It has a cool optional light show that you can use. I am excited to use this one for my son because the first one I got for my daughter was so cute and went on the side of her crib but it would turn off after 20 minutes! Make sure you get one that doesn’t have to be on a timer.
3.)Summer Infant SwaddleMe – Another item that went along with the happiest baby method was to swaddle. My daughter would sleep so well if she was swaddled so it was very important in our house. The swaddle me blankets were great for the middle of the night. You will find out when you are half asleep it can be very hard to swaddle a baby right so they will not wiggle out. These swaddle wraps make it very easy with the Velcro.
4.) VTech Communications Safe & Sounds Full Color Video and Audio Monitor – I know why do you need a video baby monitor our parents never had anything like that. That’s what I thought until I received this monitor! Its amazing! When I was a new mom I always want to just make sure she was ok and I didn’t have to chance waking her up by going into her room I was able to see her very clear. You were able to see the temperature of the room and there was a sound bar that showed when she was crying.
5.)Graco Little Lounger– I haven’t owned one of these for myself but I would love to get one for Baby D. I was able to see this in action at my friends house. It was so deep that it made her son feel swaddled. My daughter loved that she was able to help and since she isn’t even two yet it was simple enough for her to help with. It has the added touch of being able to switch on a vibration action.
6.)Aden + Anais Classic Muslin Swaddle Blanket– I am very happy I just received this as a baby shower gift. If you have ever tried to swaddle a baby with a receiving blanket you know how hard it is and how they never want to stay. These blanket’s are very large to help but they are also made of a nice light weight material. They are also great to drape over a car seat to keep harsh light out of the babies face.
7.) Crane Drop Shape Cool Mist Humidifier– This is going to be a life saver when your baby gets sick. They aren’t going to be able to breath well when they get stuffed up which means they will not sleep well. The extra humidity in the air will help unclog those little noses. We have the penguin one for our daughters room and my husband loves adding a little lavender extract to give her room a spa like smell to help her sleep.
