We have all been there, wanting something that took a compromise on our end, something that while we wanted it and were willing to compromise we also struggled if the compromise was worth the end result.
Anastasia, a soon to be college graduate helps out her friend, Kate by going to do an interview for the college newspaper and the end result is meeting a man who she can’t get out of her head. As a young lady who has never had a relationship before these new feelings are overwhelming at times to her. The man Christian Grey, a man of not only good looks but money, money that he wants to spend on Ana, as well has the same feelings that Anastasia has towards him. The differences between them and what they want in a relationship are where their struggles lay, both of them wanting the same thing, a relationship with the other person but each in their own way. It is what motivates them each to broaden their perspectives and see and try what the other one is looking for.
Ana and Grey have an amazing connection that evolves throughout the book and both are working on meeting the needs that the other person wants but sometimes things just don’t work that way and sometimes they do.
When it comes to books I am very picky as to what I am actually able to sit down and read, I never was able to get into the Harry Potter series, but Hunger Games, Twilight and now the 50 Shades series have been the only ones in the past year that I have sat down, started reading and was able to get into the story. The Begining of the book is slightly boring as you are getting into the adventure that Grey and Ana have, but it is well worth fighting through the first few chapters and once you do you will not want to put the book down and when you have finished reading 50 Shades of Grey be prepared to want to run to the local book store and get 50 Shades of Darker the next book in the trilogy.
50 Shades of Grey is considered an Erotic Romance, however while reading it to me it is more like the struggle that 2 people have that love each other and want to be with one another but there are compromises that they each need to make. We can all relate to that because with all relationships there are compromises to be made in order for it to work. It also brought me back in time with my own life as it will do for you, reading about Anastasia and the feelings she has of loving someone for the first time ever, we can all relate to that too when we think of who was our first love. There are some “adult” words and actions in the book but none of which are misplaced.
I for one was disappointed when it ended and only because I had to stop reading and wait to get the next book in the series. I cannot wait to get the second book and start reading it!
You can purchase 50 Shades of Grey on Amazon, or at your local book store.
