When it comes to picking how you are going to feed your baby it is important to pick what is best…. and by best I mean for you, your baby and your family.
I personally have been on both sides of the table with this one. My older two children were both bottle fed, I won’t lie I did try to breast feed both of them and it did not work. I was upset for a little bit but then realized that that was what formula was for, those of use who were unable to nurse or our babies just didn’t want to.
My oldest was born at 5 pounds her tiny little mouth and my boob were not getting along and she ended up using preemie nipples on the bottles for what seemed like for ever. When my son was born I tried again and he was like nope! I don’t want that! He fought every step of the way and so we gave him a bottle and his first one he drank almost 4 ounces! And he was only 4 days old! My youngest I gave it a shot again and to me it didn’t matter which way things went. I knew that no matter what happened she would eat, weather from me or from the bottle and it would all be ok. We made it to 18 months old with nursing and believe me when I say it I was SHOCKED!
So for those of you who are fighting the battle of how to feed your baby, feed them the best way, the way that works for you, your baby and your family. Bottle or breast either one is best as long as it works for everyone 🙂
