One thing that totally stinks is when you make cupcakes and they are such a nice and yummy flavor and then the icing is crazy thick and sticky like and looks like the ugliest cupcake you have ever seen when you use a knife to spread it (trust me on this I used to be the queen of UGLY cupcakes, they tasted great but looked HORRIBLE) until a friend of mine told me about using a spatula to spread the icing! It totally works and they look super pretty, smooth, shiny and the icing is not flattened on to the cupcake:)
