Couponing is exciting and it is the most exciting when you are first starting out and you are able to get TONS of free stuff but at the same time there is also a need for self control, learning the balance between your life and couponing.
Just Because you have a coupon doesn’t make it a good deal- You want to wait for the sale to come out to use the coupon with it to get the best price.
Just because it is free doesn’t mean you need to buy it- If you have 30 deodorants and won’t use that brand don’t buy it unless you plan on donating it. What is the point of buying something that will get no use
Just Because it scans doesn’t mean its right- Coupons scan for different products than what they are intended for, many of us know that but what is important to pay attention to is what the coupon says and use it for the intended product(s).
Just because I have a coupon- if you wouldn’t use it, donate it or need it using the coupon isn’t saving you any money.
Using coupons and saving money is different then just using coupons. And if it is something that you were not going to buy with out a coupon because you wouldn’t use it or need it you really are not saving money. The same thing applies to deals, just because it is a HOT deal and you are saving money off the retail cost if it is not something you would really use then you are wasting money buying it and having it just sit.
A hot deal is also a matter of someone’s need, a deal might be a money saver to one person but for someone who would never use the item it is a waste of money to buy it.
I am sure we all run into this conflict at times with the deals and couponing but it is important to remember that the goal of using coupons is to save money and just because it is a hot deal if it really isn’t something we want, need or can use then we are actually wasting money buying it.
