So I am not normally one to put my kids in character clothing, however my 2 year old has become a HUGE Barbie fan and I have given in slightly and I have to admit that the new Barbie clothing line from Mattel is SUPER cute!!! As soon as the package arrived and I opened it Alyssa sreamed “My Barbie clothes, I get dressed and get a bow!” There was no waiting for her and we literally had a fashion show with in minutes of the package arriving and us opening it!!
I LOVE that she is so girly and she loves everything girly, sparkly and bows (one thing that I used to have to fight McKenzie for so I am eating it up that Alyssa wants bows). We were sent 3 Barbie shirts and one skirt from the new collection that you can find at Walmart. I must mention that it is not what I expected quality wise, and in a good way. You all know I am a BIG fan of Gymboree and the Children’s Place for my kids clothing because I can find awesome deals on it and I know the quality is going to last. I was very hesitant when putting the Barbie line into the washer because I was afraid something was going to happen to the design on the shirts (you know how the cheap shirts with designs on them seem to always come out of the washer and dryer looking a bit ragged and stretched, and that is normally what happens with clothing that I buy at Walmart and the reason I don’t buy clothes there). I knew if that happened I was going to have one very unhappy little girl. But of course I had to stick them in the washer and dryer and test them out and I am happy to say, I was pleasantly surprised! They looked just the same as they did going in:), no pulls, no stretching, no designs falling off!!
Check out our fashion show video, Alyssa had a TON of fun trying on her new clothes and I had a TON of fun seeing her love the new clothes and having fun trying them on! Of course we did have to put a new bow in her hair to match each outfit 😉
You can find these adorable and sparkly fashions for your little ones at Walmart, in sizes 2T-5T. Prices range from $5.00 – $14.99 so they are great on the budget! The collection was designed so it is easy for little ones to get themselves dressed, which I know my 2.5 year old loves to be able to feel like a big girl and get her on clothes on 🙂
