By now, we have all more than likely have either heard of or played a game in the Mama series. From Cooking to Crafting to Gardening and more, Mama has taught us a great many thing in the game world. And it seems she will continue to teach. I love to learn how to do things (to a game extent anyway lol) and the Mama series is perfect for that. So when I was given a chance to review the latest installment in the series- Gardening Mama 2: Forest Friends- I jumped on it. But their are a couple of questions to be answered. What’s the game about? Is it worth your hard earned money? Let’s answer these questions together!
Gardening Mama 2: Forest Friends starts out simple enough. You are Mama’s helper out at her farm/garden. You begin by getting a little tutorial from Mama. This will teach you everything you need to know. From there you are entrusted to make Mama’s garden the best it can be. You can plant flowers, fruit and vegetables and they all serve a purpose. We will get to that in a minute. But first I need to explain how you get the seeds for the flowers, fruits and vegetables.Everyday you can do challenges to get these. They could range from lighting Jack O’ Lanterns for pumpkin seeds to clipping dead stems for some of the flowers. What I love is that each challenge is unique. Every so often you may get a duplicate challenge, but if you do they are few and far between. Now why do you need to grow all this? Well there are animals you need to help. They are the Forest Friends. These Forest Friends run shops like a flower shop, a bakery etc. They need your help in getting the supplies they need. Your goal is to fulfill their requests so they can keep the customers coming and happy. This allows their shops to grow and as such allows you to gain power ups and the like. This game has a level of strategy to it that all will enjoy!
Gardening Mama 2: Forest Friends will have you hooked. I must have played it for around 8 hours already and still don’t see the end in sight. Which for me is a good thing as I love longer games lol. So I told you what the game is about. Now is it worth your money? I would say yes! This game as all the elements that kids and adults will enjoy. Its long, so you wont be done in 2 hours and say wow that’s it? (This has happened to me many times). As I have said, I love this game. I think you will to. I highly recommend this game. Now if you will excuse me, I have some gardening to do!
