All of us Moms need a break at some point. Between the running around with kids, cooking, cleaning, homework ect. It doesn’t matter if you are a stay at home mom, a work at home mom or a work out of the home mom, each one of us needs a break and with kids it means that at time going out is not possible but it is possible to have all the kiddos play at the same time as having a Girls Night in.
I have done this many times and had the kids play while the moms took a little breather, relaxed a bit and had some girl time talking. When Tom was active duty and deployed I was pregnant and I had an 18 month old so going out was extremely hard, and that is when I put the girls nights in to the most use. I had friends that would also come over with their kids and when it was time for the kiddos to go to bed there were many times that we pulled out the pack and play or had the kids lay down in my bed (or whomever’s house we were at) and we continued our mommy time. Even though we still had the kiddos with us it was nice that we could all work together with the kids, help each other when someone needed it and still have the much needed adult interaction with our friends. What made it even better was the food, we all made a dish of some sort and we would have the kiddos sit at the kitchen table, or if there were more kids then would fit we would pull out some Little Tikes tables and have them enjoy the food too.
