When my son was younger one of the things that caused a tough spot in our budget was hair cuts, little boys hair grows super fast and getting it cut so often put a strain on our budget so I taught myself to cut his hair. We have been through many different clipper sets over the years trying to find one that fit all of our needs.
There are certain things that I look for in a set of clippers, with kids the amount of time that you have for them to sit still is not very long and their heads are sensitive at times to things like clippers. My son has semi-thick hair and so some of the ones we have tried have tugged his hair and that makes it take longer to do (he is restless when getting his hair cut as it is). I know the tugging hurts him and so that is the one thing I want to avoid.
The other top thing I look for with clippers is can I use them with out the cord, it does nothing but get in the way and get tangled and make it such a hassel. With that said when you use ones that are battery powered or you have to charge them many times from my experience they last for the first few uses but then the ability to stay charged fades and they eat batteries faster then anything and it really makes for a rough time with getting the hair cut done.
We were recently sent the Walh Lithium Ion Clippers to review and I was excited to try it once I opened the package! I had seen images of what it looked like but it was different once I had it in my hands. It is solid but not heavy, and it has a great look to it as well. The high carbon steel blades made cutting my son’s hair easy, not once did he complain about tugging or pulling from the clippers. There are plenty of blade covers to pick from so you get the length that you want just right. I charged it before using it and we have used it 4 times so far on the same charge!! That is my kind of clippers!
