I have a Dyson and I love it, seriously I do, it sucks up everything and that is exactly why I have been banned from vacuuming. Something spills I whip out the vacuum and suck it up, the kitchen floor has who knows what on it from the kids eating or playing play-doh and I whip out the vacuum and I suck it up. I guess I should say I used to since I have been banned from touching the vacuum by hubby for that exact reason, I don’t pay attention and just suck up what ever is on the floor and that ends up with hubby having to take apart the whole vacuum, cleaning it out and apparently about a year ago he had had enough and he put his foot down and said (and I quote) “You are no longer allowed to vacuum, you do it wrong”. So I haven’t touched the vacuum very often and when he comes home from work he does a vacuum of the house and we call it a day. Well a few weeks ago I thought I would be sneaky and get the house all cleaned up with the kids and that I would vacuum too (I vacuumed the kitchen floor but left the carpeted areas as to not give myself fully away). Bad bad idea, I did my normal vacuum everything up and for a few weeks now hubby was saying it wasn’t sucking right and I played it off that I didn’t know why. I had told him that I had sweeped and mopped the kitchen floor keeping my vacuum use a secret. But back to what I was saying, the vacuum was not sucking things up properly and so hubby went on his adventure pulling out who knows what out of the bottom of the tube and then I heard it “Lauren, did you use the vacuum?” . Crap! I was caught.
Now I can’t say that I don’t enjoy being banned from using the vacuum, because well who really enjoys doing housework? I know I don’t so being banned from using the vacuum is really a plus, except when you get caught using it 😉
