When you think of Ikea likely the first thing that comes to mind is furniture. I know for me that is what I think of but I recently learned that Ikea is so much more then that! They have other great products and they do their part to help those in need around the world. Currently they have these absolutly adorable stuffed animals that range from $4.99 – $9.99 that for everyone that is sold between November 4, 2012 and December 29,2012 they will donate 1 Euro that will be split between Save the Children Foundation and UNICEF!
These two programs help children around the world get better education, healthcare, clean water, nutrition, education and so much more! Children’s lives around the world are changed because of these two programs and we too can help with just making a small purchase of one of the many adorable stuffed animals that they have for sale as a part of this campaign!
IKEA Soft Toys – which include stuffed animals, finger puppets and books – range in price from $.49 – $19.99 and are available in all IKEA stores and online during the holiday season. And for every IKEA Soft Toy that a customer purchases, one euro (approximately $1.29 US) is donated to the Soft Toys for Education Campaign. Since 2003, the IKEA Soft Toys for Education campaign has donated $61.75 million (€47.5 million) in donations to UNICEF and Save the Children, helping eight million children through over 70 programs.
We received the seal, bunny and the pig to review. All three are a great quality and super soft. The kids had them dancing around the room and then they took them on a picnic. Stuffed animals are a great way for kids to use their imagination. My oldest brings her pig to bed with her every night, which I think is super cute!
These would make great holiday gifts while being able to help out a great cause at the same time and they are super budget friendly!
