Our house is a Star Wars house. Always has been and always will be. A little over a year ago we got to show our kids all 6 movies of the Star Wars series in order. And it was when our kids teared up at the end of Return of the Jedi, I knew Star Wars made as much of an impact on them as it did me. Our house loves when anything new Star Wars comes out. Be it a new toy, a new game, or a new TV show we want to see it all. Recently, a new TV Show LEGO® Star Wars™: Droid Tales, Exit from Endor (episode 1) premiered on Disney XD.
Our family was stoked to watch this. The show is set right after the events of Return of the Jedi. The gang is on Endor after there victory over the Empire and are having a big party to celebrate. But why is it called Droid Tales? Well this is because C-3PO and R2-D2 take center stage. They have been there since the very beginning (starting with the events of episode 1). Luke and the gang really want to hear these stories. So the droids begin to tell the story.
The story for LEGO® Star Wars™: Droid Tales, Exit from Endor are the events of Episode 1. While C-3PO is telling the story, R2-D2 notices a mysterious cloaked figure rummaging through things. R2-D2 wants to investigate but C-3PO won’t let him because they are trying to tell their story. LEGO® Star Wars™: Droid Tales, Exit from Endor is filled with funny moments as you may have come to expect from the LEGO® Star Wars™ series. Our whole family loved it and laughed all the way til the end. I can’t wait for Episode 2!!!
Now that we have seen LEGO® Star Wars™: Droid Tales, Exit from Endor what could make this experience complete? How about building a LEGO® Star Wars™ set? Yes please!!! We got to build the Naboo StarFighter set and let me just say it was awesome. First, I should mention that my son is the LEGO kid in the house. He builds and builds sets and loves each and every one. So I set him to the task of building this one as well. And he was more than happy to do it. And it came out awesome!!! He had so much fun building it, he asked when he will get to build the next LEGO® Star Wars™ set!!
We had so much fun watching and building. And it’s not just for our kids. Lauren and I had a blast too!! Seeing my son’s face as he built the set was priceless. Spending time as a family watching LEGO® Star Wars™: Droid Tales, Exit from Endor was an awesome experience. Adults will love it just as much as the kids!! And with all of the LEGO® Star Wars™ sets and new shows like LEGO® Star Wars™: Droid Tales, Exit from Endor, it is easy for anyone new to Star Wars to jump right in on the action and develop the same love for Star Wars that we have. And the truth is you can start anywhere you want in the Star Wars universe thanks to LEGO® Star Wars™. There are so many sets, you can start at the beginning on Naboo or go to the battle of Hoth, or even go right to the very end in Return of the Jedi. The possibilities are endless!! And you will have tons of fun getting there!!!
Watching my family now allows me to relive my childhood days when Star Wars action figures and the Star Wars card game were all I wanted to do. Being Han Solo and defeating the Empire was a blast. Collecting all the cards, from common to rare, was all I wanted to do. Oh to the days past. But I know now that Star Wars is, and always will be a part of my family now. And that makes the childhood me smile.
