Sesame Place is a place we have always taken our kids each year, so when I was asked to be a Sesame Place Ambassador there was no thought to the question, it was an automatic yes. When McKenzie and Logan were younger they got to go on trips with me to Sesame Place with just me and Alyssa never had the chance to so this year I was excited to be able to take her for a mommy and me day and have the experience with just her!
We started our day getting Alyssa whatever breakfast she wanted, her pick was McDonalds and then we were off on our way! She had no idea where she was going because I kept it a surprise and she tried guessing the whole way there but once we got there she was super excited when she realized where we were. This trip meant she got to go and do whatever she wanted to while we were there with out having to worry about what the big kids wanted to do!
For her that meant going to all the shows we could, she loves watching the characters dance around and sing and so she was in all her glory getting to go to two shows while we were there!
After watching the shows we headed to get some lunch, of course since the new Cookie Monster land opened up they now have a special cookie monster cafe where you can get a variety of food, from hot dogs and chicken fingers to wraps and salads. Alyssa was excited because they now have Cookie Monster plates!! We have quite a few of the Elmo ones from our other trips to Sesame Place but now we have a Cookie Monster one to add to our collection 🙂
After lunch we headed off to the water park, Alyssa splashed around in the flowerpot watering sprinkler, then off to the splash pool. By the time she said she was done she was plenty wrinkly, a definite sign of an awesome time 😉
We jumped on a few rides, The Captain Cookie’s High “C” adventure (which Alyssa said was awesome), Monster Mix Up (like the teacups) and the Sunny Day Carousel!
Then it was time for us to go home, but the whole day was perfect. It was a perfect day spent with my littlest love who I rarely get one on one time with doing something fun like this. It was awesome to see her express her interests and what she wanted to do and how excited she got when she was able to do anything that she wanted to do while we were there.
