I love to shop, I am sure you all know that but Christmas shopping does have some challenges for me. I have to stick to my budget and sometimes that is hard especially when after I am just about done shopping one of the kids tells me about something that they want for Christmas and does nothing but talk about it for weeks so of course then I know they really want it and I want them to have it and there have been times when I threw the budget out the window and bought it for them anyway:) I mean who doesn’t want to see their child’s huge smile on Christmas morning?
Then there is the dreaded (and I am sure you have one too) relative that you have no.idea.what.so.ever. to get for them. You have bought them every random thing out there, from slippers, coffee mugs, their favorite team memorabilia and yet you can never find the creative gift that you want to get them that shows you care. Every year I hate shopping for my Uncle, don’t get me wrong I love him and he is an awesome person, but I only ever see him a max of 3 times a year, we are not very close but I still want to get him a rocking gift and every year I feel like I fail and then I turn to getting him a shirt. My goal this year is to not do that and work harder then before to find him something that is really cool.
The other hard one it my sister, the person who has everything, and buys everything they want with out batting an eye as to what the price tag says. Of my 3 sisters I am the budget conscious frugal one, the 2 of them both sport new cars and buy what they want and don’t think much about it. Which also means that their gifts for everyone are always really nice. Not that it is a competition for who buys the nicest stuff because my whole family knows how I shop. It is that they are soooo hard to buy for. What do you get the person who buys everything they want?
My biggest challenge of all is wanting to buy for everyone. It drives hubby crazy, I will be in a store and see something and be like “Oh that would be cool for so and so” and I get the look and he says “we haven’t given gifts to them before why would you be wanting it for them this Christmas”
What are some of the challenges Challenges that you face with Christmas shopping?

I completely understand your concerns . I wish I could buy nice gifts for every member of my HUGE family but a young couple with two kids just can’t make that work. I ask my family to understand that Christmas is about the kids and not about presents.
GOOD LUCK!
