I am so exited to finally show you my bathroom, Yellow and Gray are the main colors!!! I know I know I haven’t shown a picture of the front of the house yet, but we have to get the weeds out of the front before I post that pic 😉 But you get to see my bathroom so I hope that makes up for it 🙂 I should have taken a before picture but I didn’t, it wasn’t exciting really just a blue shower curtain and white walls but here is the finished product (well almost I just need to find a window treatment and some gray flower pictures and put them on the wall by the shower but for now it is done 🙂 )
With the move came a huge itch to paint and do all the rooms in the house, this is the first time we have owned a home so I have years of decorating and painting it to scratch 😉 When Kohl’s contacted me to check out the new stuff they had for spring it was perfect timing with the decorating of the bathroom! Originally when we picked out the paint we planned on it being a lighter less brighter yellow and when we got done painting and the room was bare is was like WOW! This is bright, but once we added the accent piece I picked up at Kohl’s it calmed the yellow down and I am in love with this bathroom!
Yellow and Gray Bathroom Decor
When I was in Kohl’s I spotted this awesome Sonoma Life Style Catalina shower curtain, and that they had a TON of matching accessories to go with it! It was perfect, it has a great color scheme of yellow, teal, green and gray! The metal tin you see by the shower currently houses the toilet paper, eventually when I get the towels to match the bathroom I will be putting the towels in there so the kids can reach them when they get out of the shower. It was easy to do, and I will be working on a post soon on how to paint a metal tin to match a room 🙂
This pattern close up you can see just how awesome it is!
Behind the bathroom door I put these Number hooks that I found at Kohl’s too! They are perfect for the kids to hang their towels and since we have 3 kids the numbers 1,2,3 work perfectly!
I had been wondering through the store and saw the Bathroom Rules sign and it worked perfect above the toilet, and on top of the toilet I put the matching wash cloths to the shower curtain in a white metal basket, I think it breaks up he brightness of the yellow perfectly!
The counter was a lot of fun to add decorations too I found this You are my sunshine plaque Plus they have the whole set with toothbrush holder, hand towels all that match perfectly to the shower curtain! I had a light green/teal glass that I put some sea shells in and the silver tissue holder I have had forever but I think it looks great next to the candles that I bought in yellow and teal to match the bathroom!
I am very happy with how the bathroom turned out, and I can not wait to finish the rest of the rooms in the house! I am on a roll even though I will probably make Tom crazy with all the painting and room decorating I want to do!!
What is the decor in your bathroom? Leave it in the comments! I can’t wait to hear about your bathroom!
