I think this is soo cool! Nintendo’s Starlight Foundation sets ups Fun centers in hospitals for kids who are sick! What a great way to help kids and make their spirits bright while they are in the hospital! We all know being in the hospital is not fun and for children, especially young children sitting in a hospital bed there is really only so much that they can do! But Nintendo has made is possible for these kids to play the Wii while they can’t get out of bed!!!! Check this out, it has a flat screen TV, DVD player and a Wii all in one and there are cords that make it so the children can play it with out worrying about the movement!! And each Fun center is filled with fun games for kids to play! I think this is soooo AWESOME!
Sponsoring a Fun center can be a bit pricey for those of us who are on tight budgets(they are around $4,000) But we can all show our support and get our children involved and help out a great cause just by coloring a picture! Yes that is right coloring a picture that will be used during the opening of a New Fun Mobile Center at Miller Children’s Hospital Long Beach in Long Beach, California on October 27!!
I know I have mentioned my Love for Kirby (and the game boy game) a few times and Guess what! Kirby’s helping out too(along with Nintendo and Scholastic)! He is letting kids pick dreams for him, by drawing their pictures!! It is easy to be a part of this great cause (My kid’s will be drawing theirs later today!) Just head on over to the Kirby My Super Dream Ability Site and download the coloring page, then have your child color it in and you can mail it, fax or e-mail it that have it used to help support this awesome cause!!
If you have a child who is 9 years old or younger I encourage you to do this with your child and use this as an opportunity to show your kids the benefits of helping others:) Use this opportunity to talk about your child’s dreams and share with them a fun way that they can help other kids!
