With the holiday shopping season in full swing it is important that we don’t lose the focus on what the point of the holiday season is. Thanksgiving is right around the corner and a day that we should all be celebrating the things that we do have, the friends and family in our lives and being thankful and grateful for what we do have. At times with all the sales, deals and promotions that focus can get lost. I know I post a lot of deals during this time of year to help you all stretch your money as far as you can but I want you all to remember what is most important, the people who are in your life.
When you are doing your holiday shopping remember it is not the price of the gift, the value of the gift or the gift at all. It is the thought that goes into the gift. A homemade gift can be even more special then one you buy in the store or even making something like a personalized photo mug that has pictures of fun times that you have had with a loved one can mean so much more then the expensive tablet or necklace. The holidays are great for finding deals and sales and we all have a lot of shopping to do but lets not lose the focus of the holidays, both Thanksgiving and the winter holidays are meant for spending time with family and friends.
I also want to mention that while the deals are plentiful sticking to your budget and not over spending is important. Don’t go into debt buying the latest and greatest just do what you can and don’t stress if your budget is not enough to get everything that you would want to. Your friends and family would be happier knowing that you stayed in your budget then having extravagant gifts that put you in to debt.
So while the world is revolving around all the deals and sales and the materialistic parts of life I want you all to remember that the most important thing in our lives is the people in it, our friends and family.
