I was super excited when I was asked to do this review. I LOVE Charlie Brown. I grew up with Charlie Brown.
The Peanuts gang is one of my very favorite sets if cartoon characters. Peanuts has always been a wholesome and family oriented series and each episode has a valuable lessong. My 2 girls, ages 3 and 5 love the Peanuts gang and refer to the cartoons as “Snoopy”. But they are not just for the kids, us older folks can watch and relive our childhood at the same time as sharing a piece of it with our children.
Happiness is Peanuts: Team Snoopy DVD consists of 3 sports related Charlie Brown episodes:
Lucy Must be Traded, Charlie Brown
Charlie Brown would love to have a winning baseball team, but at the start the new season there is one player, Lucy, who isn’t quiet measuring up. Charlie Brown trades her to another teams and they see that she the worst baseball player ever! Peppermint Patti quickly wants to trade her back and what Charlie Brown learns is winning is not what is important, it is that the teams players are having fun and are happy.
Charlie Brown gets stuck with selling popcorn and mascot duties when what he really wants is to pitch on Peppermint Patti’s team. She decides to let him pitch in the last inning of the game; they are up by 50, have 2 outs and all he has to do is get one more out. With his first pitch he throws a wild pitch and hits Peppermint Patti on the head. When she wakes up at home later that day she finds out that they lost 51-50 and then decides for the big game the next day to make him help out the team in a different way.
