Now it may just be me but I really enjoy the “old school” games for the DS, and well actually all game systems also. I am sure I am not the only one. While playing Nintendo’s Super Mario Brother for the Nintendo DS it totally reminded me of Super Mario Land that I used to play as a kid on my Game Boy! Of course the Super Mario Brothers is a bit different and the levels are different but it is the same concept which is awesome. I was able to jump right in and play it ( get sucked in to it 🙂 ) for a few hours. It was a great thing to have when we lost power for a few days because I was hooked on it once the kiddos went to bed.
My 6 year old daughter played it as well, and she was easily able to get what she needed to do with out me having to explain it to her. It seriously only took her about 10 minutes before she told me “Mom I can do this one myself, I do not need your help” and this is coming from my nongamer, who normally needs a bit more help then that and tends to ask what she needs to do every time she gets stuck. Not with Super Mario Brothers, she was good to go!
I totally recommend Super Mario Brothers for a younger child all the way through an adult, it is a ton of fun for everyone!
