A few weeks ago I shared with you the newest project going on in our house… Painting! We took a trip to Walmart to check out the new Disney Paint line and bought a few cans to start our project.
We have moved on to our next step in the process and that is getting the painting in full gear. The kids had fun when we picked out the Disney characters that we would be incorporating into our rooms along with the paint colors we are using and I have heard nothing but “when can we put every thing together” since our trip to Walmart.
We took a trip to the hardware store to get plywood for our project and as the painting has come along I am totally in love with the colors! We are using Disney’s chalkboard paint which is able to be tinted into a whole bunch of different colors.
Our first step was to primer the wood – to make the painting easier. For part of our project each of the kids is going to have their own color chalkboard and so they are taking part in the processes as well. Each one got to primer and paint their own pieces of wood! They loved it!
The next step was to paint them with the colors that we have picked out. Here is a sneak peek at a little more of what we are doing
Look for the finished project next week when we reveal the magical Disney rooms we are working on…. I will give you one hint though – My dream has always been to have a Disney themed playroom for the kids and my magical dream is coming true!
