Last season we all know there were MANY issues with TLC’s Extreme Couponers show, which will have it its first episode of the 2nd season airing tonight. Now I am not going to go in to details as to what happened last season as we all know the issues and you can find the posts I wrote here, here, here, and here.
Recently there have been issues with thefts of newspapers and the coupons in the paper, which I am glad that action was taken against those committing these crimes.
But I want us all to remain positive, just as last time the show aired there was a huge growth in people wanting to buy the paper and getting in on the sales and then it slowed down after people realized that they way they shop on the show is not the reality things did die down a bit. Yes we all have new policies to deal with at stores like Rite Aid(who now only allows 4 like coupons per trip) and other stores taking away their double coupon policies, but those of us who know that how to maximize our savings with out having to go overboard know that in the end we will still be able to save tons of money couponing the right way.
I have seen clips of the show and I will admit it is upsetting and when a store admits that they changed the rules for the TLC Extreme Couponers show it is upsetting as well. But you know what that shows? It shows that those who NEEDED the store to change their policies to accommodate for the show really do not know how to maximize their savings, while those of us who can get great savings following store policies can. That just shows who the bigger person/people are.
I want you all to hold you heads ups while you use your coupons and be proud that you have the knowledge to use coupons the right way and not let the people who think that this show is a reality get to you. Be proud of yourself that you know how to coupon the right way, you do not need a store to change the rules for you to have huge savings and you do not need to have 1500 toothpastes to make you happy:)
