Thankfully, my kid isn’t really a picky eater… yet. I’m sure when she gets a little older she will be. But i’m trying to give her all different types of foods now so when she gets older she’s just be used to them.
The only thing is my kid isn’t a big meat eater. It’s not that she doesn’t like it, she just likes all the sides too. Lily will have any kind of chicken you give her, which is great. But I wan’t her to eat all types of meat.
Whenever I make food, I try to give her the meat first then the sides because, obviously, I don’t want her filing up on stuff like corn and mashed potatoes. And I try to make everything finger foods. So not so much of a big mess for me.
For breakfast, I do bananas, pancakes, and pretty much any kind of fruit. I like to make a big batch of pancakes at once and then put them in the fridge or freezer for the week so all I have to do is put them in the microwave in the morning. And I do scrambled eggs, or omelets as well, depending on how badly she is screaming at me for food in the morning when she wakes up.
Lunch, is usually something simple like hot dogs or sandwiches. Like peanut butter and jelly or peanut butter and fluff. And for dinner, she has whatever we’re having for the most part. Unless we are having something like Sushi. Snacks consist of fruit, popcorn, and cereal for the most part.
That’s how I do it. I’m still trying to integrate more meat in her diet but she’s doing better.
What do you do that makes it easier for you? And do you have any tips on how to get your child to eat better? Let us know!!
