It is that time of year again, time for the Toys R Us Great Trade in Event! The event runs from January 18, 2013 – February 10, 2013. Toys R Us has a focus on Safety and making sure that all children are in products that are safe for use. It puts an emphasis on specific baby products, such as cribs, car seats, strollers and more that because of safety concerns, are not the best things to be handed down or resold. It is also important to make sure that all baby items you purchase are new because of safety issues. Items like carseats are ones that you do not want to buy second hand because you do not know where they are from and you do not know if they have been in an accident or not.
This trade in event is a way that Toys R Us helps the community by making sure all children are using safe items and to help out parent’s budget by giving them a discount for bringing in their old items.
When you go to your local store and bring in a USED item you will then get 25% off any NEW baby item in the select categories from select brands. There is no limit to how many items you can trade in so you can easily make sure that you have the proper items for you children.
Items included in the Great Trade in Event:
- car seats
- travel systems
- play yard
- high chairs
- toddler/twin beds
There are some brands that are excluded from the event but I am excited that Britax is one of the brands that you CAN get 25% off with. As you know I am a BIG advocate for children being in safe and proper carseats and that one of my favorite brands is Britax.
Used bedding like mattresses are also something that you do not want to purchase used either as they can be dirty or have things like bedbugs. You also want to make sure that you have a mattress that is safe for your children and I am happy to see that Toys R Us has them included in their Great Trade in Event!
You can find a store near you here so that you can take part in this event and make sure that you have the best for your children and their safety needs taken care of.
