Football season is here… Tom is excited I am less then thrilled. Of course I do like the Superbowl but that is for the food, not the game. I have never been able to get into the whole lets sit down and watch people run around a field with a ball thing. I do have my teams Penn State for College Football (Since my grandfather, my dad and myself went there) and the Philadelphia Eagles because that is the team my dad roots for and well Tom too LOL. But aside from that I have never been able to “get into the game”. I like going to them if they are in a stadium, that is fun, and enjoyable but the whole sitting on the couch yelling at a TV, yeah I can’t find the excitement. I have tried maybe not as much as Tom would have liked me to try but none the less I have tried.
There is one benefit to football season, I can sneak away with the kids to places Tom doesn’t like going (like veggie picking in muddy fields) and not have to worry that he is going to be annoyed by my suggestion of a day of us getting all muddy I just plan those around the football game! It is also when I can sneak in me time with out having to worry that I am being a bad wife by ignoring him since he is screaming at a TV 😉 I can also watch my shows with out someone telling me that I am “forcing them to watch dumb shows”. So I guess football season does have a few perks 😉 Plus I can be greedy with the one on one mommy time that I miss from when I was a stay at home mom and NOT feel bad about it!
