If you had asked me a few years ago my answers would have been much different, however there are things I now have a different out look on. Our time in the Air Force gave me a different out look on parts of our life and gave us more of a sense of value of the special time we all get to spend together as a family.
For our family, family time is something we do not take for granted. While hubby was in the Air Force and was not always home for dinner due to the shifts he worked, but when he was home for dinner it was always a family dinner, and when he was not the kids and I always sat together to eat. But there was also a time when hubby was not home at all for a few months because he was deployed but even then I made sure my daughter and I took that time, even though she was only 18 months to sit down and eat dinner together. Family time makes us all very happy and with the openness of where life will lead us right now uncertain we are enjoying the time that we do get to spend together(even though there are some days that we have had enough of seeing each other all day long lol).
My biggest happiness triggers is seeing my kids smile, weather it be them running out side chasing each other, or playing together inside or cuddling up with me and watching a movie(and them looking up at me with their smile), those little smiles are my biggest happiness trigger.
If I were to ask my 6 year old what makes her happy she would probably tell me playing out side(I would ask her but shes sleeping right now lol). For my son who is 4, he would probably say cuddling, hes always been a snuggler since he was a toddler and even at 4 years old loves to snuggle. The baby’s well her’s is easy to guess, shes a nursing baby and we all know what she smiles at, however she does get really excited when she hears the song “Happy Birthday” on Sprout.
Happiness is not just about material things as you can see most of my happiness comes from my family but I will admit that when I see my stockpile, that I have earned so much money working on and it continues to save my family money I can’t help but to smile. Who would have thought 3 years of laundry soap would make a person happy, but that 3 years of laundry soap bought at a really cheap price is what makes it so we as a family can do things to make more family memories.
What makes you and your family happy?
