School is just around the corner and that means many of us are looking at buying all the gear our kids are going to need for school, from backpacks, lunchboxes, pencils and everything in between and while we are all going to be hunting for deals on these things there are somethings that are worth shelling out the big bucks for. By quality I mean one that is going to stand up to its use and give you the most for your money – more expensive then your standard cheapy ones at CVS yes but make sure they are quality and just because it is expensive doesn’t mean it has good quality.
A high quality backpack is one of those things. We used to be a “shop for a new backpack each year type of family” and not because the kids wanted a new one but because they needed a new one. The old one had fallen apart, was ragged looking and was not going to last another month let alone the next school year. I know it sounds like I am taking all the fun out of back to school when they are using the same backpack again and again but its so much better on the budget and the high quality ones I can throw into the washer and the come out clean not looking like they have been beat up.
I still have a Jansport Backpack that I got my Junior year of high school (that is back in 2001) that I still use and I have not had the zippers break, it still looks nice and it has no rips, tears or even stains on it.
There are other companies that I have heard very good things about their quality as well, such as High Sierra backpacks which is what my son has. He used it last year for kindergarten and he will be using it again this year and it still looks brand new!
To save money on high quality backpacks keep an eye out for deals. When I see them I will make sure I share them with you 🙂
