Winnie The Pooh has kind of become a staple in our home. Now of course our youngest daughter is the one that is most into Winnie The Pooh. But our two older kids will still watch. Heck Lauren and I will still watch. And that tells you the true power of Winnie The Pooh. He is timeless and for all ages. For adults it allows us to become a child again if only for a couple hours while we are in the world of Winnie The Pooh. When I got the opportunity to review Winnie The Pooh Springtime With Roo I knew I had to take it. The whole family will enjoy this I thought. And I was right. But let’s find out what this movie is all about…
It is Easter time in the Hundred Acre Woods. And we all know who comes on Easter right? It’s the Easter Bunny!!! And who in the Hundred Acre Woods could possible be the Easter Bunny? It is Rabbit of course!!! Each Easter he goes around and fills everyone’s basket with wonderful treats and also plans a Easter egg hunt. That is until this Easter. He decides that this Easter is going to be Spring Cleaning Day!! This surprises everyone including Winnie The Pooh, Tigger, Piglet, and Roo. It also disappoints everyone, but none more so than Roo. Being a child, he looks forward to the Easter Bunny coming every year. But Rabbit will have none of that. He starts ordering everyone around, telling them what to clean and where. Everyone does this but like I said are not happy. That night Rabbit is in his home. He thinks he is doing the right thing. Now here is where it you may say I know this. That is because Rabbit is visited by three spirits sans A Christmas Carol. From this point on he is shown the past, present, and future. This is a good concept, but not very original. Will Rabbit learn the true meaning of Easter in time? You will have to find out!!
Winnie The Pooh Springtime With Roo is a good movie. The animation is top notch as usual, there are some songs to dance and sing too, and the voice acting is great. The bonus features is where the DVD really lacks. The only bonus feature is a Get up and Dance! to the songs and music in the movie. I thought great until it was just one song. That’s it. Your only bonus feature. Not very good in my book. I will recommend this movie for your kids especially with Easter right around the corner. With only one bonus feature and a story thats not original, you may only watch this once. Your kids will love it though, and may want to watch it every Easter.
