Ingredients

Instructions

  • Add 1 cup water and the sugar to a pot and heat the stove to medium-high heat.
  • Boil the water and sugar, once boiling, still, and then set aside and let it cool. You will see that the sugar has melted into the water, this is a homemade simple syrup.
  • Squeeze your lemons, saving only the juice into a bowl. You can do this by hand or use a juicer. I personally think it is much easier to use a juicer to get the juice out of lemons.
  • Add the berries into a blender and puree until smooth. You can use a mesh strainer to remove the seeds and extra fruit pieces if you want to.
  • In a large pitcher, combine the remaining cold water, simple syrup (the sugar and water mixture), water, and the berry puree.
  • Mix well using a wooden spoon or a whisk.
  • Add in fresh blueberries, fresh blackberries and fresh raspberries if desired.
  • Serve in a tall glass over ice.
