Easy Baked Apples

Easy Baked Apples are an amazingly delicious healthy dessert. Crisp apples stuffed with brown sugar, cinnamon and butter, then baked in the oven until warm and tender. Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or vanilla frozen yogurt and you have the best dessert ever! Everyone will love these healthy baked apples!

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Wash and dry each apple and place on a cutting board.
  • Using a pairing knife scoop out the core from the top of the apple, leaving a well. Be sure not to cut all the way thru the apple.
  • Place apples in a shallow baking dish
  • Stuff each apple with 2 tablespoons brown sugar and 1 tablespoon butter and sprinkle with cinnamon.
  • Bake in preheated oven for 15 minutes, until sugar begins to caramelize and apples are tender.
  • Serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or vanilla frozen yogurt and a drizzle of caramel sauce if desired.
