Chocolate Chip Cupcakes with Cookie Dough Frosting Recipe

  • 3/4 cup butter softened
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 3 tablespoons milk
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips


  • Combine the butter, sugar and brown sugar together in the bowl of your mixer. Cream them together on medium speed until light and fluffy, about 5 minutes.
  • Add in the milk and vanilla until combined.
  • Turn the speed down to low and carefully add in the flour mixture just until it’s combined.
  • Stir in the chocolate chips.
  • With a 1/4 cup scoop, scoop the dough into the top of each cupcake.
