Strawberry Skillet bread
This Strawberry Skillet bread makes an amazing breakfast or snack bread! Whenever I have left over strawberries, this strawberry skillet bread is my go to recipe to use them up!
Place the skillet into the oven and preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
Wash and slice the strawberries and set them aside.
In the bowl of a stand mixer or a mixing bowl with a hand mixer, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Add in the egg, vanilla, and butter and beat on medium speed until well combined.
In a small bowl combine the flour and baking powder using a whisk.
Add the flour mixture a little at a time to the butter mixture, alternating with the milk. Mix well as you add each one in, but don't over mix.
Fold in the strawberries berries.
Remove the skillet from the oven and spray with a nonstick spray.
Pour the batter into the hot skillet.
Bake for 50 - 55 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean when inserted into the middle.
