Dutch Baby Pancakes

  • Preheat the oven to 425 degrees.
  • Melt the butter in the microwave.
  • Pour the melted butter evenly in 2 small skillets or 1 large skillet. Swirl the butter around so it coats the whole bottom of the skillet.
  • Place the oven safe skillets in the oven while it is preheating.
  • In a medium sized bowl, add the eggs and the milk and whisk to combine.
  • Add the flour and flavor of choice - nutmeg, cinnamon or vanilla and whisk until everything is mixed well. Be careful not to over mix, if there are a few lumps in the batter that is ok.
  • Remove the skillet from the oven and pour the batter into the heated skillet.
  • Bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes, until the pancake turns golden brown.
  • Take it out of the oven and serve as desired.
