Hot Chocolate Truffles

Hot Chocolate truffle Bombs are perfect for when you want to make a fancy hot chocolate. A ball of chocolate rolled in hot chocolate toppings, that when added to a mug of warm milk makes a rich and creamy hot chocolate.

  • Add the chocolate chips in a medium heat-safe bowl and melt using a double boiler. If you have never melted chocolate with a double boiler, read how to melt chocolate in a double boiler.
  • Once the chocolate is melted slowly whisk in the heavy cream and peppermint extract to the chocolate.
  • Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and place in the fridge for 2 hours.
  • Line a sheet pan with a silicone mat or parchment paper.
  • With a small scoop ball up the chocolate mixture in to 12 balls and place onto the sheet pan.
  • Place in the freezer for 30 minutes until the balls have firmed up.
  • Roll the balls to round them off.
  • Then Roll the Balls in topping of choice.
