Donald Duck Cupcakes

  • Bake your cupcakes and allow them to cool. While the cupcakes are cooling make your buttercream frosting and make your Donald Duck Fondant Pieces.
  • Dye some of your fondant red, some blue and a small amount black.
  • Pinch off a small amount of the red fondant and shape it into a bow tie shape. Spread out a small amount of powder sugar onto your work surface.  Roll out some of the red fondants and cut small strips to fit over the middle of your bow tie shape.
  • Dab a small amount of water onto the middle of each bow and place the strip of red fondant down, cutting off and extra fondant in the back.  Repeat this with all the bows.
  • Break a small ball of blue fondant off. Roll it into an oval. Gently press it into a hat shape with one side coming to a point. Add a small piece of black fondant to the back side of the hat with a small amount of water to make it stick. Repeat it this to make 23 more hats.
  • Place your star into your pastry bag and fill it up with your white frosting. Pipe a swirl of frosting onto each of your cupcakes.
  • Press one bow gently into the side of the frosting. Place one hat on the top of the cupcake. Repeat with each cupcake.
