Preheat the oven to 350°F.
Remove the cream filling from the Oreo Cookies and put the cookies into a food processor. Process until they are fully crushed. Melt 3.5 tablespoons of butter and then add the melted butter to the cookie and give it quick pulse to combine. When held in your hand the mixture should hold it's shape.
Empty the entire cookie butter mixture into a tart pan. Using a rubber spatula press it against the sides as well as the bottom to form the pie crust.
Place the chocolate cookie tart crust in the oven and bake for 10 minutes.
Remove the chocolate tart crust and let it cool completely.
While it is cooling make your chocolate ganache tart filling.
In a bowl add the heavy cream, butter, sugar, and salt and heat it in the oven for 1 minute. Add the chopped chocolate and immerse it well in the cream. Let it sit for 5 minutes and then mix well.
Add the chocolate ganache filling to the prepared tart crust and chill in the refrigerator for at least 3 hours. Take it out of the fridge 20 mins prior to serving.
Before serving decorate as desired with fruit, caramel drizzle or whipped cream.
