Spaghetti Ice cream, also known as Spaghettieis is a german ice cream dish that is made with ice cream and homemade strawberry sauce to look like a plate of spaghetti. An easy and fun ice cream treat that the kids will love.

Ingredients

Homemade strawberry Sauce Ingredients

  • 3 cups fresh strawberries washed and chopped in quarters
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup

Spaghetti Ice Cream Ingredients

  • 3 cups softened vanilla ice cream
  • 3 tablespoons shredded coconut

Instructions

How to make Homemade Strawberries sauce

  • Cut the strawberries in quarters, and place in a sauce pan.
  • Add the maple syrup and cook over medium-high heat for 10-15 minutes until they are cooked down.
  • With an immersion blender, blend the strawberries until you obtain a smooth texture.
  • Place in the sauce in the fridge for 1 hour or until cold.

How to make spaghetti Ice Cream

  • Allow the ice cream to set out for about 10 minutes to soften.
  • Place 1.5 cups of ice cream in the potato ricer.
  • Over a plate squeeze the ice cream with the help of the potato ricer and swirl it a little to make it look like spaghetti noodles. Add the other 1.5 cups of ice cream and do the same on a second plate.

How to Assemble

  • Pour the strawberry sauce over each spaghetti ice cream and sprinkle with shredded coconut or shredded white chocolate.
  • Serve immediately.
