  • 8 cups strawberries
  • 4 tablespoons sugar
  • 8 uncooked refrigerated buttermilk biscuits
  • 2 tbsp butter melted
  • 1/4 cup sanding sugar
  • 2-3 cups homemade whipped cream


  • Combine strawberries and sugar in a mixing bowl, set aside.
  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  • Color the sanding sugar if desired.
  • Brush the tops of the biscuits with butter.
  • Sprinkle the tops with sanding sugar.
  • Place onto an ungreased cookie sheet and bake at 375 degrees for 13 to 17 minutes.
  • While the biscuits are cooking make the homemade whipped cream.
  • Split biscuits in half, layer the strawberries then the whipped cream. Put the top of the biscuit on and then add more whipped cream and strawberries on top.
