I grew up with well water in Pennsylvania, and when we moved to New Jersey we then had city water. YUCK! Now some people may like city water but I can not stand the smell of chlorine in the water when I am drinking it, and the flavor just is not the same as well water and city water leaves an after taste in your mouth. Nothing beats well water for me. So we have been here for 5 years, and had not been able to find a filter that we liked the water from, we tried both pitcher and faucet filters and nothing was what I wanted so I have been drinking bottled water when we had a stockpile of it or just not drinking water at all.
Then we had the opportunity to try out the Zuvo Water Purator. I was hoping it would give me what I wanted water wise but I was not getting my hopes up cause I have been disappointed many times when thinking I was going to finally get water the way I liked it.
We set it up was super easy. There are 2 ways to set it up.
Like we did on the counter
And my awesome hubby even did a video so you can see how it works!
Or under the counter. We can not do under the counter since my stockpile of cleaning products is under my sink.
Well after setting it up and letting it run like you need to for a few minutes I got a glass of water and was very excited that there was no smell at all! Maybe a little to excited because I made hubby come smell it and he was like I don’t smell anything what am I supposed to be smelling? I told him exactly there it no nasty chlorine smell! Then was the true test taste, it tasted great and then there was no aftertaste at all! I was so excited! Finally we had the water I have been wanting for the past 5 years!
The Zuvo uses a 5 step process that makes water taste great!
The Zuvo Water Purator™ uses a patented five-step process to produce clean, healthy, great tasting water…just the way nature intended!
Step 1: Ozonation
In nature, ozone is generated by lightning and cleans the air where rainwater forms. The Zuvo Water Purator mixes ozone with incoming tap water to treat taste and odor contaminants and improve taste. Like chlorine, ozone is a powerful oxidizer. Unlike chlorine, ozone leaves no chemical residue.
Step 2: Ultraviolet Light
The ozone saturated water is flooded with high-intensity UV light – the same as the solar energy that cleans water in the upper atmosphere.
Step 3: Photo-oxidation
The Zuvo Water Purator combines UV and ozone in a patented process known as photo-oxidation which releases powerful oxidizers to further treat the water.
Step 4: filtration with lead removal
Pure spring water is created by passing through fine particles in the earth. Zuvo uses the same principle by passing water through a Class 1 Particulate Reduction Filter, reducing chlorine taste and odor, lead, and tiny particulates.
Step 5: post-filtration UV
The filtered water is again exposed to high-intensity UV light as it leaves the Zuvo Water Purator, ensuring that you get clean, healthy, great tasting water…just the way nature intended!
